Thin Gloss - April Morris Update

Thin Gloss Shark Tank Update

Weight Loss Thin Gloss
Shark Tank Update
April Morris Appearing on the
Shark Tank Show in Season 1
If pure inspiration is the secret to success, then April Morris the inventor of Thin Gloss, is one of the most Successful Entrepreneur's ever seen on the Shark Tank. But it would be my luck while searching my Shark Tank Season list's that I would run across two contestants in a row where the product has disappeared and seems to of failed.

The Thin Gloss story seems to of taken a turn unlike any product ever seen on the Shark Tank Show. It made April Morris a success just like She always envisioned, and then She gave it all up.

April Morris and Thin Gloss was featured on the Shark Tank in Season 1 during the last episode 15. She claimed in so many words that Thin Gloss could help lose weight by applying this lip gloss. The Sharks instantly knew this product would never get FDA approval without several very costly independent studies to verify you really could lose weight with April's product. She never came right out and said the Thin Gloss product would help you lose weight, but the picture's clearly implied otherwise which Kevin Harrington pointed out. The short story is April Morris did not get a deal on the Show.Read More Here-->>>

Pork Barrell Barbeque on Shark Tank
Pork Barrel BBQ
Sample Pack
The name might have pork in it but the sauces and rubs tastes just as good on chicken and beef as well. In fact these sauce's will make every kind of meat taste better. The best advise for anyone that goes in front of the Sharks with a food product, is to get them fed as soon as possible. That's exactly what Heath and Brett did wasting little time handing out samples of the Pork Barrel BBQ sauce. The entire Shark Tank loved the Pork Barrel immediately.

The Spatty Daddy - Season 4 - Episode 405 - Update

Seen on the Shark Tank Show
Cheryl Rigdon demonstrating the Spatty
on the Shark Tank Show
Cheryl Rigdon is the inventor of the Spatty, one of the simplest yet most useful products ever seen on the Shark Tank Show. The inspiration to develop the Spatty actually came inside of a make-up jar when she realized how much she was wasting by not getting it all to come out. A problem each and every one of us has had dealing with a number of different containers. The Spatty and The Spatty Daddy can actually pay for themselves in no time.

Cheryl came into the Shark Tank with a great idea but she lacked the needed contacts to bring her invention to the world. She was only asking for $50,000.00 and was willing to give up 40% of the new business to have a partnership with one or more of the Sharks. Rigdon gives a good presentation on the many products that most people throw away because it is nearly impossible to get it all out of the containers. She then whips out this little 3" long Spatty and the larger Spatty Daddy used for larger containers.

Power Decal's

Power Decal on Shark Tank Show

Wireless Light Up Power Decals - Season 1 - Episode 15 - Update

Make a deal with Daymond John on Shark Tank Show The Power Decal is one of those inventions that you just know will succeed if marketed and licensed properly. A peel off sticker that lights up from a solar power source, ya that's a cool invention alright. George Podd and Rolf Schwartz went into the Shark Tank very confident with their product they called Light Film that has since been renamed and re-branded as Power Decal. The Power Decal has a motion sensor built into the light up decal which brightly displays the sticker.

George Podd and Rolf Schwartz was asking $100k for a 5% stake in their patented Power Decals which put the valuation at $2 million. They demonstrated a generation 1 Power Decal that was hooked up to a wired power source (a battery) to light up the peel and stick sticker. They quickly pointed out that the generation 2 Power Decals would be wireless and solar powered which got a lot more interest from the Sharks. Podd, the inventor of the Power Decal, had zero in sales and has already sank $750k into this invention. They can make the generation 2 Power Decals for $5 or less and retail's for $19.99 which is a decent profit margin in any ones book.  Everything is ready to go and all they need is the licensing deals to make the Power Decal a huge success.

Shemie Update

The Shemie by Shelton Wilder

Shemie Success StoryIt's been just over a month since we saw Shelton Wilder come strolling in the Shark Tank with her invention the Shemie. When she started her pitch  I was certain she would get a deal with at least one Shark. If for anything else, for her enthusiasm towards her product and the fact that she got Lori Greiner to admit that she too would wear a Shemie. Unfortunately things got a little emotional and maybe off track as the Sharks pressured her into talking about some things she was not prepared to talk about. In the end she was not able to make a deal with the Sharks.

Reader Rest rerun from Season 3, Episode 302 Update

Reader Rest on Shark Tank Show
The first time the Shark Tank Show seen the ReadeREST Magnetic Eye-Glass Holder that Rick Harper invented was last year on February 24th, 2011. Since that time the ReadeRest-SpecSecure product has gone on to one of the hottest products ever to be featured in all of the Shark Tank Episode's. Hopper entered the Shark Tank stumbling in as if he lost his eye glasses. On the surface this looked like a relatively simple invention that really wasn't a big enough idea to get the Sharks excited to invest any money. All of them except for Lori Greiner who has already sold over $20 million in eye glasses on her show with QVC. It's a simple idea with a large markup

Win The Powerball - Become A Shark

Power Ball Jackpot $425 Million this Wednesday Night

Win Powerball become a Shark Tank Success
With no winner in the Powerball last night, the Jackpot now sits at $425,000.000.00 and is expected to grow closer to a half a billion before this Wednesday's next drawing. Now before you start spending (investing) all those zero's, there is one small little detail that must be taken care of first. Taxes. If you were to choose the lump sum payout, you would also see over $148,000,000.00 in real dollars quickly disappear for not letting them control "your winnings" for the next 30 years. You are then required to pay Federal taxes @ 25% of your gross winnings which takes another  $70,000,000.00. out of your powerball jackpot. Your $425 million has already been cut more then in half, leaving you with a little more then $208,000,000.00 before your State taxes.
Depending on which state you bought your power ball ticket, your state taxes range from zero in states of New Hampshire, Delaware and Florida, all the way up to an additional 8.82% in Read More Here-->>>

Hill Billy Brand

HillBilly Brand on Shark Tank

 Success Story - Season 2 - Episode 4 - 04-08-2011

Hill Billy HatHow to Build a Brand that goes Nation Wide. This the Success Story of the Hill Billy Brand that has taken on a life of it's own. In my neck of the woods you would call me a Country Boy. Always Outdoors and lovin every minute of it. In Mike Abbaticcho & Shon Lees part of the country, some would probably refer to me as a Hill Billy. An Outdoor Life Style I Wouldn't Trade for Anything!

When I first saw Mike and Shon on the Shark Tank Show, I immediately thought, Wow, that's a cool name for a company. I most definitely would buy this product because I'm wearing a hat almost identical to this picture even as I write this article. Only difference is, the logo say's Colorado with a Bull Elk. But first these Hillbillies needed to raise a little cash if I was ever going to find one at the local Sporting Goods Store.

So how do you take such a simple idea and turn it into a Full Time Business? Just ask Steve Gadlin that was featured on the Shark Tank in Season 3 Episode #307.

Shark Tank Success Stories

Shark Tank Success Stories

I have to admit right up front I'm not a big fan of MOST reality t.v. shows these days. Most are a complete waste of time and a down right insult to any one's intelligence that believes your watching real events on TV when in fact it's for the most part staged.

The reality T.V. show the "Shark Tank" is however much different then really any other reality show on television. These are real people that have taken their ideas and turned them into real businesses. The very entrepreneurship that has made this Great Country what it is.

I have been a big fan of the Shark Tank since day #1.
