Lifter Hamper Update

Lift Hamper on Shark Tank

Spring Loaded Clothes Hamper -  Season 4 Update
Marvin Phillip's Lifter Hamper season 4
The Lifter Hamper
Finished Product
I'm not sure how I missed this one, but the Lifter Hamper has to be the coolest clothes hamper on the market that thousands of people with back problems are going to love. The inventor of The Lifter Hamper is Marvin Phillip, a NFL Star who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steeler's back in 2006. In 2008 Phillip had a back injury that sidelined Him for the rest of the Season when it was difficult just to bend over.

Marvin may not of been able to play Professional Football but that didn't stop Him from helping out around the House including doing the laundry. Having to bend over to complete this task, Phillip reasoned there had to be a better way. What if the hamper was spring loaded going down when you put clothes in the hamper, then rises back up when you take them out? A light bulb went off and Marvin's entrepreneurial spirit took over designing the Lifter Hamper that would make bending over a thing of the past.

Marvin Phillip entered the Shark Tank seeking $85,000,00 in exchange for a 12% equity stake in the Lifter Hamper Business. He was already in the hamper business for 6 months with contracts from two rep firms, but no real sales yet to speak of. With such a cool invention for anyone with back problems, it would seem like a great product for Lori Greiner's QVC Show. But a product that has not proven itself in the market yet, and an extremely high valuation at this point in the game, left Lori very little choice but to go out. In fact all the Sharks go out as it appears Phillip had made the most common mistake for contestants not getting a deal on the shark Tank by over valuing their business.

Ah yes, we can't forget about those S'more's that I think just about everyone loves when in the Great Outdoors. KaZAM Bikes

KaZAM Bikes on Shark Tank

Bikes Without Training Wheels - Season 4 - Episode 425

I can still remember like it was yesterday when my training wheels came off for the first time and I was finally riding my bike on my own. All the way down the driveway and then Crash, right into the mailbox. OUCH. I had the will to learn but trying to balance that bike for the first time ended up sending me to the hospital for a few stitches and a scar I still have to this day. Had  Mary Beth Lugo invented her version of the balancing bike that teaches kids to ride without training wheels, that not so good experience would of never happened

Due to the very nature of why the KaZAM Bike was even built for kids learning to ride these bike's are made extremly good. The all medal frame with inflated tires will have just about any three to six year old riding in no time. Sure there is actually a fair amount of balancing bikes on the market, but the KaZAM Bike is the only one with the patented foot rest designed for perfect balance instead of dragging your feet like a lot of the competitions. I found one with foot pegs but it looks like a real shin buster if your not careful.

The Pink Shutter

The Pink Shutter on the Shark Tank

Photo Booth Rentals - Season 4 Episode 421 - 5/3/2013

Shark Tank season 4 episode 425
One of the best things about the Internet is the ability to see what past customer's thought about your business and if they would take the time to recommend your service to their Friends on Social Media sites. Without a doubt The Pink Shutter Photo Booths have pasted this test with flying colors. I honestly could not find one bad review or experience for any of the 7 established locations. People really love these 21st century photo booths that clearly put the old photo booths most of probably could imagine to shame. Sure it's still nice to hire a professional photographer for your official wedding photos for instance, but what about the party that follows afterwards when it's time to kick up your feet and have some fun? With The Pink Shutter Photo Booths invented by Lance Yabut these memorise will be alive and well for many years to come.

Comparing the Pink Shutter Photo Booths with the photo booths from the past is like comparing a black and white camera with a Smart Phone from today. You had very little choice and you best be ready when the picture was taken. With the full color photos from the Pink Shutter Photo Booth you can also design the entire layout and even make the entire parties pictures into a personalized book. Your options are endless in what you can design and make the ultimate keep sake scrap book for any event. Super Cool Idea that is guaranteed to be a big hit with all your guests.Read More Here-->>>

Track Days The Movie

Track Days The Movie on Shark Tank

Motorcycle Movie - Season 4 - Episode 425

season 4, episode 425
James LaVitola is a former Hollywood Stuntman that has a story too tell. In fact it's such a good story that he wants to make a major movie "Track Days" and bet millions that it will be successful at the box office. If there is one thing about season 4 of the Shark Tank that really stands out, it would be the large range of businesses and opportunities that now have a shot at getting on the show. Not only will this be a completely different pitch but it will also be one of the largest investments ever asked from the Sharks.

There's Big Bucks to be made in a major movie produced by professionals and along with it comes a huge risk that it will be successful and actually make a profit. Fortunately James LaVitola and Brian Pitt are no strangers when it comes to successful movie productions. LaVitola was a stuntman in Block Buster's such as the Fast and Furious and The Transformer's while Pitt is a famous movie producer with years of experience behind the camera. Together they want to make an action packed movie about professional motorcycle racing.Read More Here-->>>

Samantha Meis and Conor Riley

The Misto Box full of gourmet coffee from around the world is such a product that I'd swear was made just for me. In fact, I have already registered with Misto Box and look forward to my first cup of coffee from a roaster I very well may of never tried any other way.

They started with a great idea and received the needed capital to start Misto Box with a Successful Kicktarter Campaign that ended exactly one year ago today.   The nPower Peg is coming to the energize the Shark Tank with a portable generator that uses kinetic energy to power your small devices. With the nPower Peg you will never have to worry about batteries going dead as long as you can still walk and create the energy needed to power up your cell phone, tablets, radios and just about anything that requires lithium batteries. This very cool invention was invented by Aaron LeMieux of Tremont Electric, not as a business opportunity but out of necessity when he hiked the entire 1500 mile Appalachian Trail

LeMieux is a mechanical engineerthat began dreaming of a personal energy generator during this rather long hike. He could carry everything he needed in his backpack but he still needed to go into towns along the 1500 mile trail to stock up on batteries for all his gadgets. It took a full 10 years to turn this dream of a hand held personal generator into reality.

In 2008 LeMieux secured several patents for his kinetic energy device

Mission Belt

Mission Belt With No Holes on the Shark Tank

Buy A Belt - Feed A Family - Season 4 - Episode 422 - 4-26-2013
Season 4 episode 422
The Mission Belt with No Holesis coming to the Shark Tank with a clear mission, "to feed the hungry". Unlike traditional belts where you adjust your waist length using the holes in the belt, the Mission Belt uses more of a ratchet type clip to keep your belt in place.

With such a cool invention that really doesn't need some sort of gimmick to sell this product, it's hard not to notice how much emphasis is put on the "Feed The World" part of the mission belt. It actually took a fair amount of time just to find out how much they donate to this cause and what organizations they support. From what I gather they use $1 from every $35 mission belt sold to support the world hunger cause.

On a positive note, I also found they do not give the money to a food charity (as far as I can tell) but in a form of $25 micro loans to people all around the world using Kiva.com.

Shell Bobbers

Shotgun Shell Bobber's on the Shark Tank

Fishing Ammo - Season 4 - Episode 422 - 4/26/2013
Season 4, episode 422

The Shell Bobber was just featured on the Sportsmen Shopping Network last summer when it was compared with a traditional round fishing bobber. This super cool new bobber invented by Jeff Stafford, was made out of a shotgun shell and became an instant hit. Jeff thought they were prepared for the orders for their new fishing invention but instead the shell bobber's completely sold out within 5 minutes. I have to admit after watching this video, I never want to use one of those pain in the ass traditional bobbers again. Just the shear ease of taking it on and off your fishing line is definently worth the price to have a few of these in your tackle box.

Here's a 1 minute video that will convince all hard core sportsmen they need to use the Shot Gun Shell Bobber. Yes, Fishing and Beer usually do make for the perfect fishing trip!

Luggage Pickup and Delivery - Season 4 - Episode 423 - April 19, 2013

Seen on Shark Tank Show
Luggage Pick-Up and Delivery Service
on the Shark Tank Show
The Luggage pick up and delivery service is coming to the Shark Tank this Friday Night but seems to have got lost somewhere in New York City. In fact after extensive searching trying to find a luggage pick up and delivery service in New York that is coming to the Shark Tank, the closest business I found is called Schwartz Travel and Storage Company. They are most known for a convenient place to store your luggage while your site-seeing or shopping within the heart of the business district.

It's an interesting business model that charges up to $10 per baggage to safely store your luggage at their location for an hour and all the way up to a month. If they can get this much for you to drop it off at their location, then how much would you you pay to have your luggage picked up and delivered to your Hotel?
The problem is how do you scale this business up to the numbers the Sharks like to deal in?

Robert Gifford sitting at a
Geek Chic Custom Gaming Table
Holy Cow Batman, that Geek Chic is not a chick at all. Actually I believe Robert Gifford, the owner of the Geek Chic Custom Gaming Furniture Store, pronounces it "Geek Sheek". The Geek Chic Custom Built Gaming Furniture is all about Quality. Each gaming table is custom built just for you in what Gifford calls "Heirloom Quality Furniture" to pass down to your little geeks.

From some of the comments I have read, the Geek Chic associates are very active in making sure they design and build you the very best gaming table for all the games you enjoy. This starts with a phone call to get to know you on a personal level so they can design a piece of quality furniture that clearly has your personal taste in mind. In addition to their famous gaming tables that convert to a coffee table when not in use, the Geek Chic Master Wood Workers also produce quality chairs, bar stools, dice towers, and storage cabinets for miniature collectibles and comic books.

Stella Valle Jewelry

Stella Valle on the Shark Tank

Custom Jewelry - Season 4 - Episode 423 - 4/19/2013
Stella Valle on the Shark tank season 4, episode 423
Ashley Jung and Paige Dellavalle
Creaters of the Stella Valle Collection
The Stella Valle is a jewely line inspired by two West Point Cadet Army Officers and Sisters Paige Dellavalle and Ashley Jung. The two very close sister's completed their commitment to our country back in 2009 and started the Stella Valle jewelry Line to compliment the more edgier side the military usually brings out in you. Transforming back to civilion life after years in the service takes time for anyone that has gone through the proccess. Helping to bring back their feminine side, but not forget where they came from, is what the Stella Valle Jewelry Line is all about.

Ashley and Paige also have two other sisters that are still in the military but apperantly not in the Stella Valle Business just yet as they are both still on active duty. Can you imagine having four daughters all in the military? I'm assuming atleast one of their parents was also in the military for all four girls to devote themselves to our country but there is no mention that I can find to support this. Either way, it's a great beginning for another Success Story after millions of people (and thousands of Vets) learn about the Stella Valle Jewelry Line on the Shark Tank Show.

Scones Pastries- Season 4 - Episode 423 - 4/19/2013
season 4, episode 423, 4/19/2013
J. Jones of Jones Scones Co.
  J. Jones is the inventor of the Jones Scones Co. that's coming to the Shark Tank with a message everyone needs to hear. As with all successful businesses a good story goes a long ways, and boy does J.Jones have a good one. Jone's started experimenting and making Scone's while living in London and developed a taste for this traditional United Kingdom treat. Upon returning to the States he could not find anything even close to the cake-like Scone's he had been accustom to. Being the entrepreneur that he is, Jone's decided to start making his own Scone's and start selling them in coffee shops across Denver area. The Jone's Scone's was an instant success as more and more coffee shops started requesting his products which has now has landed him on the biggest business stage in televisions history, The Shark Tank Show.

Not only has J. Jone's perfected the art of making the Best Scone's in the U.S., but this multi-talented entrepreneur is also a practicing lawyer in the Denver area as well as a night club singer with his own band. To stay in shape, he's a weight lifter that can bench press 400 pounds and holds a Black Belt in Tomiki Aikido.

Next Shark Tank Show

Episode 410 Rerun - April 12, 2013
Valuable Lessons Learned!

seen on shark Tank season 4, episode 410
Michael Tseng Blows Huge Deal on the
Shark Tank Show #410
The bad news is we have another rerun for this Friday Nights Shark Tank Show. The good news is, It's One Of The Most Memorable Episode's EVER! If I had to pick (I like all of them) just a few episodes of the Shark Tank that really stand out, episode 410 is clearly near the top. This is a "Must Watch" if you have any ideas of going on the show and one worth watching multiple times for that matter. There is an entire semester's worth of learning in just this one episode alone.

No Fly Cone

This Shark Tank Show starts out with Bruce Gaither and the really cool new No Fly Cone - Fly Trap. I still like this fly trap idea but needs to be marketed in a Different way. Flies might like poop, but people usually do not. Unfortunately the No Fly Cone will also always be remembered as having the worst celebrity spokesperson ever (in my opinion) when Seth MacFarlane did a horrible job helping out his so called friend.Read More Here-->>>

GOBIE Water Bottle

GOBIE Water Bottle on Shark Tank

High Tech Reusable Water Bottle Season 4 - Episode 421 - 4/5/2013
Season 4, episode 421, 4/5/2013
Have you ever bought bottled water before? I can still remember the very first time I saw bottled water on the store shelves right along side the soda for the same price. I thought what a rip off and a scam. Who in their right mind would pay the same price for bottled water that you can get just about anywhere for free? It's obviously a whole lot cheaper to produce then a bottle of soda and selling at the same price. Boy was I wrong!

The bottled water industry has flourished into a multi billion dollar industry with new competition continuing to enter this lucrative and profitable market. It's been great for the Coke's and Pepsi companies selling pure water at ridiculous markups, but not so good for the millions of plastic bottles that now clutter our landfills. If there was someway to make a Gobie H2O Water Bottle that has a built-in filter, you could save hundreds of dollars by essentially making your own pure water and greatly cutting down on single use plastic bottles. With the built-in filter capable of making over 100 gallons of drinking water, this is also a fantastic Alternative to Water Purification Tablets during an Outdoor Survival Emergency.
