The AVE Venice

The AVE Venice on Shark Tank

Custom Screen Printing - Season 3 Episode 306 Update
custom screen printing season 3
The Ave Venice Now Custom Prints On
Van's Slip On's

After watching a few of The Ave Venice video''s on You Tube, I must say I'm impressed with what's now possible to custom screen print on. Nick Romero the owner of  The Ave based out of Venice, California, has taken this industry to a whole new level which you can now custom create just about anything. If you ever want a one-of-a-kind custom pair of tennis shoes for instances, Romero is definitely the man to talk to. Anything you can imagine can be turned into a wearable form of art at his screen printing business.

Nick came into the Shark Tank seeking $125,000.00 for a 15% equity stake in his custom printing business. Because everything is custom made for the customer, this helps keep costs down until the order is placed on a variety of t-shirts, tennis shoes and hats ready to be made into "your" work of art. At the time Romero was in front of the Sharks, he had already done $570k his first year in business generating $150k in profit.

As good of an idea as this is, the Sharks weren't biting as they all decided not to make any offers in The Ave Venice business. Mark Cuban does acknowledge Nick has a unique printing process, but apparently not enough to secure a patent on or be copied from competitors.

Vinamor Wine Aerator

If you like wine as much as I do, then your going to love the Vinamor Wine Aerator that helps the wine breathe as its being poured. When Gary DeJohn came into the Shark Tank He was well prepared and did His homework on the Sharks themselves. Already knowing Kevin O'Leary has his own winery (O'Leary Wines) it was clear that DeJohn was targeting Kevin to invest $75k for a 30% stake in his aerator. While O'Leary was indeed impressed with this product, He is already in this business with a few other wine aerators on the market, and never even makes an offer.

At the time of the taping of the Shark Tank, the Vinamor was selling for $40 bucks a pop which is a little pricey according to Kevin our wine expert. Gary was indeed able to find another oversees manufacture and drastically lowered the price to $24.95 per unit.

Remyxx/ ReKixx Update

Remyxx/ ReKixx Shark Tank Update

100% Recyclable Tennis Shoes From Season 3, Episode 312

Seen on the Shark Tank Show
Remyxx Sneakers Now Known As
ReKixx
Now here's a cool "thinking outside the box" invention we all need to get behind in our recycling efforts. Gary Gagdon the inventor of Remyxx (now known as ReKixx) came up with this idea to make 100% recycled tennis shoe's while in the process of throwing several pairs away. Gagdon took those old shoes out of the trash and began working on a new recycled product that could effect what we all wear in the future.

Gary Gagnon came into the Shark Tank with His revolutionary recycled sneaker's seeking a $50,000.00 investment for only 10% equity in the business. When Gary means 100% recyclable, He means just that. Every part of the sneakers can go into the recycling bin and recycled into new products.

While putting a $500k valuation on the Remyxx/ ReKixx business, Gagdon obviously must of been somewhat established with sales at a proven profit point right? Well not exactly, Gary had zero sales and has only been in business for 3 weeks. It seems He has a great idea at this point, but the Sharks point out getting into the recycled sneaker business will require a lot more than the $50k Gagdon is asking for.

Four of the Sharks drop out leaving only Daymond John with Gary's last chance to make a deal on Shark Tank. Daymond really likes the idea of recycled tennis shoes and the potential to create a new Brand around them. John offers him the $50k but He wants 80% of the Remyxx Business in return. Gary does come back and counter for $100,000.00 and 50% of the business, but Daymond doesn't budge. He has three clear plans in which direction the Remyxx Brand could go. With John's help teaching Gary this business, the Remyxx / ReKixx recycled tennis shoes could become very successful. Gary does indeed accept Daymonds offer and agrees to give him 80% controlling interest.

Nardo's Natural Update

Nardo's Natural Shark Tank

100% All Natural Skin Care - Season 3 - Episode 305- Update

Seen on Shark Tank, season 3, episode 8,
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this picture is
Worth A Million Bucks!
The Nardo's Natural Organic Skin Care Product's was invented by 4 very ambitious Brother's Kyle, K.J., D.J.  and Danny Mastronardo. They came into the Shark Tank prepared and enthusiastic as any contestant on the Show and definitely was looking too make a deal.

The Mastronardo Brothers were asking the Sharks to invest $75,000.00 for a 12% stake in the Nardo's Natural Skin Care and join their Family Run Business. The four Brother's started their Organic Skin Care Business back in 2009 and at the time of their Shark Tank appearance, have $30,000.00 in gross sales.

Mark Cuban seems to really enjoy the presentation until all his enthusiasm melts away after hearing the sales numbers. Once the Brothers point out that Nardo's Natural is just beginning to get into the stores with 17 so far, that helped bring back a little enthusiasm as a business investment.

Daymond John asks how much the 4 Brothers have invested in the Nardo's Natural Business which is only $35k so far. The projection for the business over the next two years is $4.8 million in total sales which of course has Kevin O'Leary wondering how they plan to grow this business so fast.

The Original Profender

The Original Profender Shark Tank Update

Basketball Training Device - Season 3 - Episode 305
Successful Business after the Shark Tank Show
Demonstrating The Original Profender
Basketball Training Devise

The Original Profender is a rather unique basketball training invention developed by Tony Divine for his son Devon. This mobile basketball training device reacts much like a professional defender closing in on his opponent before taking a shot.

Tony gets right to the point inside the Shark Tank and asks for $75,000.00 for a 15% equity stake in the Original Profender invention. Mark Cuban that knows a thing or two about basketball, gladly rolls up his sleeves and want to give The Original Profender a try. Tony already has one ready to go with a cut out of Kevin O'Leary which he calls The Original Offender. Son of a gun if Mark beats the Profender and makes a basket on his first try. Obviously Cuban must workout with the Dallas Mavericks because he was sinking them down like a real pro.

So how does professional basketball players currently run drill's when closing in on an opponent? According to Mark Cuban, the coach uses a broom to try and distract the players when shoot at the basket. There's no question The Original Profender has value on the basketball court, the real question is how big is this market?

Mix Bikini

Mix Bikini Shark Tank Update

Mix and Match Bikini - Season 3 - Episode 315
Mix Bikini Shark Tank Update Season 3 Episode 315
Frank Scozzafava Inventor of Mix Bikini
Tough Job but someone has to do it!
The Mix Bikini Brand allows you to mix and match bikini parts into over 5000 combinations. The more interchangeable parts you acquire, the more options you have to create a brand new look every time you head to the beach. I must say they do look good on the models and seem to fit in all the right places.

Frank Scozzafava and Adam DiSilvestro came into the Shark Tank looking for a $50,000.00 investment in their creative bikini line, but for only 5% equity stake in the business. Each interchangeable part of the swimsuit is sold separately which you will need at least 4 to complete a brand new look. To create your own unique bikini costs between $40-$60 retail.

With starting off negotiations with a 5% stake in the business or $1 million valuation, was soon changed to 10% and quickly cut it in half down to $500k. The male Sharks seemed a little concerned how there was no real business plan in place and no sales to put a value so high on a brand new start up.Read More Here-->>>

Cab 20 Band

Investing in a New Rock Band
First Band Featured on Shark Tank Show
Cab20 is the First and Only Band to
Preform on the Shark Tank Show
The Cab20 Band was featured on the Shark Tank in season 3 opened up a whole new avenue for Bands to raise money. If your sound is unique and if you have the right manager, then you might also get a chance to play in front of 7 million viewer's.

Of course having Tom Callaham an already accomplished Band Promoter does come with benefits. The idea of raising money for new talent via Venture Capital and Angel Investors is nothing new. But the idea of getting an up and coming new band in front of millions of viewers for the first time when seeking an investment was. Whether Callaham was successful in getting a deal with any of the Sharks or not, was really besides the point.

With all the talented bands out there, how could the producer's ever decide on which Band will be the very first ever to appear on the Shark Tank? In Tom's case He was good friends with someone who was also good friends with the executive producer for the Shark Tank Show. Callaham sent in a Video of Cab 20 directly to Clay Newbill the executive of the Shark Tank Show, and soon after they met for a cup of coffee. Read More Here-->>>

Tail Lightz Update

Tail Lightz on Shark Tank

Light-Up Magnetic Stickers - Season 3 Episode 301

Kyle Rainey season 3, episode 301
The Finished Tail Lightz Product
After the Shark Tank Show
Kyle Rainey is the inventor of the Tail Lightz magnetic stickers made to light your assets up. If you’re seeking a little added attention in that department, then this product is guaranteed to get you noticed. That was at least my impression when Rainey first came into the Shark Tank with two female models and proceeded to show all their assets off.

The Tail Lights Magnetic Stickerswas an inspiration of Kyle's when his young Daughter wanted a pair of light up sneakers that flashes LED lights as you move around. It's a cool invention that I myself bought a pair for one of my kids which always seemed to get a lot of attention. He came into the Shark Tank looking for a $50,000.00 investment in exchange for 50% of the Tail Lightz Business which was a brand new concept at the time.

The lights on set dimmer and the music comes on to create a night life atmosphere as Kyle and his two models start dancing it up and showing off their tail light assets. The first thing you notice (at least I did) was how generic a lot of the Tail Light designs were. A few of the designs almost looked like clip art I have seen before. In fact I would bet on it, but there's a good reason why.

In hind sight we now know that Kyle Rainey is an avid inventor with over 80 inventions he is constantly working on.

With several interested stores, Urban Outfitter's was the largest Company interested in perhaps carrying the You Smell Soap Brand.

The New Chord Buddy Combo
Includes EVERYTHING!
The Chord Buddy has to be the most perfect way to learn how to play a guitar. My Son instantly said when he saw it on the Shark Tank that it kind of reminds him of of the Guitar Hero and the Rock Bands Video's where he first started learning to play. It's a clever device that attaches to the neck of your guitar with easy to read colored tabs that will have you playing like a pro in no time.

Travis Perry developed the Chord Buddy to teach his Daughter how to play the guitar which she did within just a few months time. In a single months time, Travis had a $150,000.00 in sales within a months time which confirmed he was on to something BIG and he just had to convince at least one Shark to invest in the Cord Buddy and go along for the ride.

When Travis entered the Shark Tank he was more confident then ever of the future success of the Chord Buddy and ready to negotiate with the Sharks. His biggest stipulation was that the Cord Buddy will continue to be manufactured in the U.S.A.

Donny McCall is the inventor of the Invis A Rack from Season 3 that made a very big impact on the Shark Tank for his stance to keep this product "Made In America". Incredibly it was this decision that probably cost him a deal with the Sharks as he did not get the investment he needed for his invention. McCall was looking for $100k in exchange for 10% of the invisarack business. At that time, Donny has sold 150 units and grossed $50k in sales.

Donny was very adamant about keeping the manufacturing and production in the U.S. and specifically in and around Sparta, North Carolina where he calls home. He's a one man business that hopes to bring job's to the community and bring new hope in the depressed market. Getting the Invis-A-Rack manufactured oversees is Not an option
that he will even consider. This product was invented in the U.S. and it will be built here (period).
