'Palestinians' seethe, Israelis satisfied over Indyk's absence

The 'Palestinians' are seething at US facilitator Martin Indyk's exclusion from the 'peace talks' that are taking place in Israel, but the Israelis, who were never happy with Indyk's role, are quite pleased with his absence.

An Israeli source noted that the Palestinians are claiming that Indyk
should be actively involved in talks and should be sitting at the
negotiating table. Palestinian

'Palestinians' ultimatum: Cancel housing tenders or talks are off

I expected this to happen, but I thought the 'Palestinians' would at least wait until they get 24 terrorists back on Tuesday. The 'Palestinians' have delivered an ultimatum to the United States: Either Israel cancels the tenders for 1,187 new Jewish homes (mostly in Jerusalem) that were announced on Sunday or the talks are off.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) is demanding that Israel cancel

Abu Bluff whines to Indyk

'Moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen is getting 26 murdering terrorists released this week, but he still found time to whine to US 'peace envoy' Martin Indyk over Israel's construction of 1,187 new Jewish homes, mostly in 'east' Jerusalem.

PA officials accused Israel of deliberately trying to torpedo
the talks by issuing tenders for construction of 793 new homes in

Is this cartoon anti-Semitic?

Is the cartoon above anti-Semitic? No, it's not. The cartoon was published on the web page of Im Tirtzu, which exposed the assistance that organizations supported by the New Israel Fund gave to the prevarications of the Goldstone Commission in 2009-10. Indyk is co-chairman of the New Israel Fund, and the cartoon was accompanied by a letter criticizing him for that.

Martin Indyk, shameless opportunist

Noah Pollak tries to figure out what, if anything, Martin Indyk believes.

The single most astonishing example of Indyk’s
opportunism is the settlement freeze that Obama demanded of Israel as a
precondition for talks, today widely acknowledged – including by Obama
and Indyk – as having been counterproductive. In 2009, Indyk endorsed Obama’s demand for the freeze as the only way to get the

Indyk: Hard to believe parties can reach agreement

Martin Indyk's moment of candor in January 2012 may yet come back to haunt him.

Indyk was named this week as the Obama administration's representative to the 'peace talks' between Israel and the 'Palestinians.' But in January 2012, Indyk told Army Radio that 'it's hard to believe' that the parties can reach an agreement.

Asked in January 2012 by Army
Radio’s Ido Benbaji whether he was

By the way, what shape is the table going to be?

For those too young to remember, I discussed the shape of the table in the Paris peace talks that were supposed to end the Vietnam war here. When it comes to Israel and the 'Palestinians,' the shape of the table may be the only thing about which there has thus far been no argument.

This time "all of the issues that are at the core of a permanent
accord will be negotiated simultaneously",
