Shark Tank Season 5

Season 5 of the Shark Tank Show

Premieres Friday September 20, 2013 on ABC
Season 5 Sharks
Great news Shark Tank Fans! ABC has finally announced Season 5 of the Shark Tank Show will start in two months on 9/20/2013. Many people had predicted (including myself) the show would be moved this season to a more preferred time slot and a different day of the week with more potential viewers watching.

As it turns out the Shark Tank will keep it's familiar time slot @ 9 P.M. (eastern) on Friday Night's where it has dominated the rating's most of last season. I'm not sure why they would choose to keep one of their most Successful Shows on probably the worst night of the week, but then again new episodes have even made me change my plans to accommodate that time.

I would imagine having the Shark Tank air on Friday Night's instead of any other night of the week is might be that viewers have all weekend to visit the contestants websites.

Shark Tank Books

Books Written by the Sharks on the Shark Tank Show

Books written by the Shark Tank Investors  It really is amazing how reading the "right book's" can change your life forever. I can still remember when I was given my first copy of "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, when I was only 14 years old and just won an award for a MLM company I was involved with. When I was walking off the stage, one of the highest ranking associates in the room handed me his copy of the book and simply said "I believe this belongs to you". Not really being much of a reader before that time, I must of read it cover to cover at least a dozen times until the pages started falling out.

Yes, a good book really can change your life even if it's only a single new idea that triggers something in your mind to think a little differently. That one new way of thinking that may be the very road block keeping you from where you "really" want to go. Finding a mentor in the types of books you read can pay huge dividends IF you choose to take their advise and learn what made them successful.

If your a Shark Tank Fan and love learning about the Sharks and what it took them to get to the top in their professions, then what better way too learn then reading their books. Now if your a future contestant on the Shark Tank or have any plans of doing so, then this could also be considered required reading to learn as much about your future business partner(s). It really is in your best interest to learn as much about all the Shark's as you can before going on the Show.Read More Here-->>>

Shark Tank Final Numbers Season 4

Shark Tank Facts For Season 4

How Much Did The Sharks Invest?

The totals are in for Season 4 and as Kevin O'Leary would say, "The numbers do not lie". Once again Mark Cuban dominated in the Shark Tank in all three main categories including the total number of investments, the amount invested for all Sharks and the most personally invested out of their own pocket.
The biggest surprise of Season 4 was Barbara Corcoran and Lori Greiner's Shark Tank Seat they share throughout the Season. When combined, our Lady Sharks dominated all the other Sharks in new Investments. All the Sharks except one invested at least a million dollars of their own money. Robert Herjevic takes last place this year by a wide margin in just about every category, while Kevin O'Leary makes a strong finish in the season finale after writing a million dollar check that drastically helped out his entire season.

If you would like to see exactly what each Shark invested in, just click on the Sharks name below for a complete list of each new business that they are now part owners in.

Sharks on the Shark Tank Season 4

Who's your Favorite Shark on the Shark Tank?

season 4 shark tank show
Who's Your Favorite Shark On The
Shark Tank Show?
So who is your favorite Shark from the Shark Tank? Mine? This year's show was quite different from the other seasons and as a result my opinion may have changed changed just a bit. Right now I would have to say it's both Daymond John (He's the only Shark that Follows us on Twitter) and Lori Greiner who has been very active talking and re-tweeting about the Shark Tank Success Blog. I Do Very Much Appreciate them giving their approval for this blog. A little biased in my opinion? We'll maybe just a little :') But it's hard to argue they both have made some terrific deals this past season and every contestant that I can find that made deals with either of them, are very happy indeed.

If I was to choose who I would most like to make a deal with

Wine Balloon On The Shark Tank Show

Air Cork Wine Balloon - Season 3 - Episode 304
wine balloon air cork on shark tank season 3
Eric Corti Inventoer of the
Wine Balloon / Air Cork
The Wine Balloon which has now been re-named The Wine Cork is one cool invention that all wine connoisseurs are going to love. Eric Corti first entered the Shark Tank last year in the beginning of season 3 and in episode 304, asking for a $40,000.00 investment in exchange for 30% equity in the air cork business. Without a doubt Eric made a huge impact on the Sharks as well as many Shark Tank Fans around the country.

Lori Greiner was interested in getting this product on her QVC Show but was more interested in buying the entire company and the patent pending on the wine balloon. Lori offers Cori $500,000.00 for the entire business. Mark Cuban also sees the potential success of the wine cork and wants to go in on Lori's deal. He will even up the ante another $100k and make it an even $600k for the wine cork business which is 15 times the money Eric was originally looking for.

ReadeREST - SpecSecure

ReaderREST on Shark Tank Show 11-30-2012

Reader Rest rerun from Season 3, Episode 302 Update

Reader Rest on Shark Tank Show
The first time the Shark Tank Show seen the ReadeREST Magnetic Eye-Glass Holder that Rick Harper invented was last year on February 24th, 2011. Since that time the ReadeRest-SpecSecure product has gone on to one of the hottest products ever to be featured in all of the Shark Tank Episode's. Hopper entered the Shark Tank stumbling in as if he lost his eye glasses. On the surface this looked like a relatively simple invention that really wasn't a big enough idea to get the Sharks excited to invest any money. All of them except for Lori Greiner who has already sold over $20 million in eye glasses on her show with QVC. It's a simple idea with a large markup

Bag Bowl

Bag Bowl on the Shark Tank Season 4 - Episode 4

Bag Bowl Brian and Kevin Flemming
Bag Bowl Demonstrated on "The Shark Tank"
Bag Bowl - Brian & Kevin Flemming is looking for $40k in exchange for a 33% equity stake in their invention. You can basically take a plastic bag and turn it into a bowl with a round collapsible piece of plastic. They have invested $40k of their own money and want a license play for the product. Keven O'Leary can't understand what is so special about this and doesn't think they will get the patent. They went to a large trade show and won an award for their idea but walked away with zero sales. Brian says they are "pre-revenue start-up" which basically means they have not made any money from the Bag Bowl. Daymond John basically nails it with

Back 9 Dips

Back 9 Dips on the Shark Tank Season 4 - Episode 404

Shark Tank Season 4Back 9 Dips - David & Nique Mealey was looking for a $150k investment in exchange for a 15% stake in their company. Back9Dips is basically taking chicken wings and mixing them in with the dip. Mm, I Love It Already. Daymond John ask's "so this is basically a chicken Slurpee"?

Kevin O'Leary
keeps picturing a chicken going into a blender and getting churned into a dip. He laughs so hard he starts to cry. This throws off the Mealey's from their presentation as it doesn't seem quite that funny, atleast not to them anyway. Lori Greiner jumps in and compliments them that it is really Delicious. Robert wants to know about the business. They started out as a B-B-Q business which the dips became a popular favorite. The sales are close to $400k within the last two years and just landed a 60 store test with a large grocery store. The store required a weekly sales goal which David says they are selling on a daily basis.

Can Back 9 Dips Close The Deal with the Sharks?
Lori still really likes the product but ultimately She's Out. One by one the Sharks start going out. It's not looking very good that any deal is going to get done. It's Daymonds turn in which he is kind of on the fence on making an offer. Geiner cant get seem to forget how good Back 9 dips taste and asks Daymond if She comes back in will He go in with Her for the $150k for 25% of the business. Daymond John actually starts getting emotional as to how similar the Mealey Family is to where he was before L.L. Cool J gave him a shot with FUBU. Lori cant take it any more and says "Daymond lets give them a shot". Nique starts to cry with emotion as she knows they are discussing Her Family's financial future right in front of them. Daymond is not sure He can bring enough to the deal to make it a sold business decision. Lori says we will figure it out together and make it a success. Daymond John didn't get to where he's at by making emotional business decisions but by practical ones where he can honor his part in the business. He's Out! Robert steps in and says "we'll I think in life you sometimes just need a chance" (so true in so many ways) and I would be happy to go in with you Lori for the $150k.

DEAL - Lori Greiner & Robert Herjavec buy into Back 9 Dips for $150k and 25% of the company from David & Nique Mealey.

Side Note: It was obvious that Daymond John was touched by this story. Maybe a little emotionally clouded to make a business decision which he knew would of been wrong. In the end he did the right thing by not offering them any money but by offering something much more valuable in the long run.

Back 9 dips on Shark TankWill Back 9 Dips Be A Success?

Back 9 will definitely be a success especially in the short run and will continue to grow into a National Brand.. Why am I so sure? Because with any good reality show when you add emotions that really TOUCH peoples lives personally, the audience will remember and WILL at least try the Brand.(which is half the battle for any new product) I believe they call it "The Shark Tank Effect" which will ultimately make the Mealeys millionaires. You read it on the Shark Tank Success Blog First :)

Shark Tank Season 1

Shark Tank's First Full Season

Season 1 Shark Tank List
The first Sharks on the Shark Tank Show
Original Shark Tank Sharks from Season 1
The Shark Tank Show first launched in 2009 with mixed reviews as it was trying to find it's own Niche.
With the success of the Dragons Den already shown in Canada, the first two Sharks Kevin O'Leary and Robert Herjevic, were also hired to get this new show off the ground. Season 2 was even a little bumpier with talk that they might even cancel the Shark Tank altogether.
But the show really started to catch on in season 3 and by season 4, it is now the # 1 rated T.V. Show on Friday Night Prime Time.

As with all successful T.V. Shows, it all comes back to when it first began and which makes each and every contestant from season 1 True Stars in their own right for paving the way.

Below is a list of all 15 episodes that were Featured in Season 1. How successful are these companies now? Are they even still in business or have they gone on to become multi-millionaires?

Watch (buy) Season 1 Episode 1

  • Mr. Tod’s Pie Factory  - Tod Wilson was asking for $460,000.00 for a 10% stake in the business. He made a deal with Barbara Corcoran and Damond John for the full amount.
  • Ionic Ear - Darren Johnson was asking for a cool million dollars for a 15% stake in the company. Instead the Sharks chewed him up and spit him out.
  • WiSpots - Kevin Flannery was asking for $1.2 Million for 10% of the business. The Sharks never even gave him a chance let alone any kind of offer.
  • AVA The Elephant - Tiffany Krumins didn't have a product or a service, but just an idea. An idea that struck gold when Barbara offered her $50,000.00 and a 55% controlling interest in her idea.
  • College Foxes Packing Boxes - Nick Friedman & Omar Soliman wanted $250k for a 25% interest in the business. Got a little greedy and walked away no no deal from any of the Sharks.
